Presented here is a nice narrow smooth black nephrite jade pendant that has a small eye looking piece of Paua abalone on the top front. This is a great example of Big Sur Black Nephrite Jade. The black jade from here is rarely deep black. It is usually different shades of gray that approach black.

This is a nicely natural shaped drop pendant. The colors are a vulcan orange/brown with a grayish blue on one side. This is a very nice suttle but beautiful piece. One of my favorite colored jade from Big Sur is the Blue and Blue/Black combos. This is a barrel bead faced with Paua abalone from New Zealand. The blue colors really show well in sun light or good lighting. The polish on this is excellent. The green and blue hues in the abalone shell match
