We first found our connection in the ocean, then found the coast line in California called “Big Sur” and specifically, “Jade Cove”. Anyone who visits here feels the power of this coastline. With this impression, we were empowered by what we experienced to appreciate and work the precious jade we found. Over the years of collecting and working the local stone, we have learned a lot about it’s beauty and personality. Each stone can give a different impression and is expressed when working the stone. Big Sur jade is one of the most difficult jades in the world to work with so many variations and internal stresses and fractures due to being on a major earthquake fault and being pounded by storms over centuries. Once mastering this stone, all others are easy, so we expanded to jade and other stones around the world.
