There's nothing like owning something hand made, not mass produced, and to have the confidence that every detail from materials used to labor of the finished product was done by one person. At Jadedivers, we produce from stone to finished items while searching out the best quality sub-components like earwire findings for earrings. If anything is different, we always are upfront in our descriptions as we sometimes make items from other stones. We only use untreated materials with no dye or resin impregnation. There are so many "Jade" items on the market that are simply other stone materials or even glass. It is so bad and misleading that you might be lucky to get "treated" jade.

We understand the difference in materials very well and have noticed certain country's have gotten really good and faking jade materials. One example is the use of a density test for nephrite or jadeite jade. Some country's use glass (which is a less dense material at 2.5) with the right proportions of lead (very dense material) to increase the mass or density of the glass to match nephrite (2.8 - 3.1) or jadeite (3.3 - 3.5).  This modification can pass a density test (specific gravity test) and appear to be jade. Many online sellers are doing this.
